Art on the Nile
An Oil and Solvent Free Cold Wax Workshop

March 2nd - 12th, 2024

Join me, Lora Murphy, on the trip of a lifetime. Can you imagine having a painting experience while sailing down the Nile? What an enchanting and awe-inspiring place Egypt is! Imagine the gentle breeze caressing your face as you glide along the timeless waters, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of ancient Egyptian landscapes.

The vibrant colors of the setting sun casting a warm glow on the banks, the palm trees swaying in harmony, and the majestic pyramids standing tall in the distance providing an endless source of inspiration. The tranquil rhythm of the river's flow creates a serene atmosphere, allowing your creativity to flourish.

You will capture the essence of history, culture, and natural wonders, creating masterpieces that reflect the timeless allure of the Nile. This journey will not only be a celebration of art but also a deep immersion into the soul-stirring wonders of Egypt, making it a truly unforgettable and life enhancing experience.

Follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open. Where you didn’t know they were going to be. If you follow your bliss, doors will open for you that wouldn’t have opened for anyone else.
— Joseph Campbell

Our Oil and Cold wax experience will be solvent free! YAY

Introducing my new oil and cold wax workshop where you will join me in both the Luxor studio and on our private boat on the Nile for a magical 10 night trip, including a 4 day workshop where we explore oils and cold wax WITHOUT SMELLY, DANGEROUS SOLVENTS! In this workshop we will be working on papyrus and watercolour paper. We will also experiment with building collages to reflect our Egypt experiences, adding to the works using vintage elements, an assortment of papers and book pages. You will create many oil and cold wax paintings. There will be lots of spontaneous art making and open studio time too.

Come and create in this amazing country and visit temples and monuments along the way. Egypt is a country that will capture your heart and soul and it is life altering!

Our wish and promise is that you leave absolutely inspired and wonderfully renewed with a whole set of new skills to add to your art toolbox.
